Curriculum

The academic content of Ethos International College is unique in its approach as the customary 2 and half year curriculum of either Ordinary level or Advanced level is shortened to ether 12 months or15 months. The syllabus content is programmed in such a way that not only the essential syllabus components are comprehensively covered , but students are also given sufficient time to practice past paper materials as well. Ethos International College offers both Cambridge International and Edexcel Pearson O/L and A/L parallel to each other offering students the opportunity to choose their preferred syllabus content. Essential practical component is blended in Science and Computer Science subjects with Science Laboratory and Computer Laboratory facilities. Subject mento programme is a unique learning support mechanism offered at the college to assist students with learning needs ensuring that all progress at the same time and different learning needs are identified and accommodated. Well-laid out schemes of work provide transparency getting students to be familiar with their curriculum demands and scope.

Modern Class Rooms

One of the unique features of Ethos International College is the infra-structure facilities offered to our students. One such attractive feature is the air-conditioned classrooms that are offered to provide ease of learning in a comfortable and supportive environment. The number of student in a classroom is deliberately limited to maximum of 18 students providing students with the opportunity to receive individual feedback and more interaction with tutors. Multi-media facilities support more comprehensive learning with the ability for the tutors to integrate virtual leaning in a technologically enhanced study environment.

Transportation

Ethos International College offers its students with transportation considering the present fuel crisis and this would lessen the burden of parents. Transportation is provided to students living on the route from Malabe to Flower road and From Piliyandala to Flower road.

Students are benefited by the feasibility of travel in our air-conditioned vehicles and this supports them further to perform well in their academics.

Fully Air Condition

We believe that for students to learn effectively, their study surroundings must be comfortable. Our fully air-conditioned classrooms bear testimony to this.

Modern Lab Facilities

Students of the Science Stream are supported with laboratory facilities to assist them in the comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Practicals are conducted by a teacher with more than 20 years of experience. Hence our students are given correct guidance by a well – experienced lab assistant to understand their subject matter thoroughly.

Cafeteria

Our cafeteria stocks tasty snacks, meals, and refreshments, so students don’t need to go outside the college to get them between lecturers.

Clubs & Societies

Ethos prioritise grooming students to become people with empathy and sensitivity to the needs of people in their communities, thus they are encouraged to plan and organise community service activities as a club and impact society positively. Moreover, they are given the opportunity to become leaders and work as a team: these provide them with essential skills they require when they become adults to succeed in their work places.

Extra Curricular Activities

Students at Ethos International College are given the unique opportunity to do Sports as part of their weekly programme in order to remain physically and mentally fit.

Students are given to choose their preferred sport out of a range of sports and guided by well-experienced coaches which provides them with proper methodology and safety in the sports they do.
